Practice Manager

Stephen Holby is the Practice Strategic Manager.  He is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice including new initiatives proposed by NHS England and extended services for patients.

The rest of the Practice Management Team helps to make sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. They supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to put processes in place to deliver extended services identified to enhance patient care.  Given the size of our organisation we have three Practice Managers (not all full-time) who have specific areas of specialism as well as providing cross-cover for each other. 

Administration

Gina George

Administration Manager - Gina is responsible for the management and training of all our reception and administration team

Clare Bennett

Finance Officer - Clare is responsible for all financial accounting, ordering and stock control.

Cath Bawden

Practice Support Officer - Cath is responsible for supporting communication with our patient participation group, helping patients with and investigating complaints, processing patients' access to their online records, supporting investigations into various practice issues and significant events as well as supporting the whole practice team with other key responsibilities in the management of appointments and support to staff meetings.

Sarah Priest

Prescriptions Manager - The processing of patients' repeat prescriptions and some medication queries are primarily undertaken by Sarah with support from the Administration team.

Nicole Glanville

Systems Officer - Nicole is responsible for the day-to-day support of our many IT systems, data searches and appropriate medical coding for patient care and practice reimbursement as well as other ad hoc clinical systems projects and data collections. 

Administration Team

We have a very dedicated and hard working team of administrative staff whose responsibilities include dealing with all patient first contacts whether that be by telephone, electronically or face-to-face; summarisation of new patients' notes; handling of insurance and other medical claims paperwork and medicals; recall of patients for specific healthchecks, monitoring tests and medication reviews; medical typing and processing of patient referrals.  Sometimes our staff may need to telephone patients to confirm certain details on behalf of the clinicians, such as prior to a referral being sent, or to pass on the response to an enquiry.

Reception

Our Front Desk Receptionists provide a very important link for patients with the practice and are your initial face-to-face contact point for general enquiries. They pride themselves in providing a welcome to all patients and a responsive service to their enquiries.  They can assist new patients in registering with the practice and help book follow-up investigations and appointments.
